Beach Day

We decided to head to the beach for a friendly competitive game of skee ball with AK and UN.  We had a slight incident Ry threw up all over herself, her car seat and UN, which required us to turn around, so we got off to a later start than planned.  Ry seemed fine, so we chalked it up to a fluke and headed on our merry way.  Skee ball was one by yours truly and Dan, so we got smoked let AK and UN win in basketball to make sure they would still come hang with us again.

After all our childish games we headed over to "roll the ball", a personal favorite of mine growing up.  I can remember sitting and playing many games with my Dad, and grandfather.  Ry really seemed to enjoy it too, although she had quite a few instances where her ball accidentally bounced over the glass rather than rolling under.

Post arcade we headed over to Brown's for some beach dinner, only two minutes before our steamer's arrived it happened again.  Ry got sick all over the table.  How embarassing.  (Although, she's not the first in our family to get sick at Brown's).  We cleaned it all up, and Dan found a stray picnic table outside for us to eat our dinner at prior to taking our poor sick girl home.  I guess that is one of the downfalls to having a super happy baby, you never know if they are really sick or not.

Playing with Friends

Today we went to another one of Ry's friend's birthday party. It was a long trip down in traffic, and Ry slept most of the way. When we arrived I had to wake her up which lead her to not being her typical happy self. After splashing around in the kiddie pool and at the water table she was hanging with momma, while her friends tried to her her to join in and play.

Corn on the Cob!

Tonight we gave Ry a full ear of corn.  She thought she was hot stuff.  Seeing these pictures prompted me to clean off my fridge.  It also allowed us to display Ry's first artwork from school.  This was the first time she sat at the big kid table to do crafts that weren't prompted by a major holiday!  Our little Bug is growing up!

And finally, how about a little Friday Flashback: Looking at this video I'm shocked at how dark Ry's hair was. She's such a little blondie now.

Why Kipu Loves Ryann

Lately in the morning all Ryann wants to do is be held.  She sits on the floor and cries while I finish getting ready for work, and continues to cry while I make her lunch for the day.  The only thing I have found to keep her occupied while making her lunch (and happy) is playing in the fridge.  I know, shame on me for giving in, but sometimes it's just not worth the fight.

I think Kipu really loves Ry's adventures in the fridge.  Luckily so far Ry hasn't managed to open any of the containers to feed her four legged sister.

And a few from dinner tonight just because!  :)  Oh yes, and Ry hasn't enjoyed wearing a bib these days.  Sigh.  Another battle lost my Team "We are the Parents"!

Ry is FAMOUS!!

Dan and I were in quite a bind last week when Ry couldn't go to daycare during my first week of work.  Luckily both the grammy's picked up a day, and AK spent her day off Friday with Ry - which resulted in Ry getting to blog over on AK's dormant blog.  You can read all about the first half of her day (and a sentence about the rest) HERE!

Zoe's Birthday

We had so much fun today celebrating Zoe's first birthday.  I can't believe that this means in less than one month we will be doing the same for Ryann.  Ry got to see lots of her friends.  One thing became very apparent Ry has the worst case of stranger anxiety out of all her friends.  She loves to talk, and wave at people, but being held by them, oh.no.  Not a chance.  Z's Mom did an awesome job with her party.

Lot's of homemade DIY stuff.  I mean, come on, check out those awesome rainbow fruit on a sticks.  I can't even imagine having the patience to do 3 of them!  Zoe was a total ham, and would say hi, and go to anyone.  I'll leave most of the cake smash pictures for Z's Mom to post about, but I will say this, Z did not dissappoint, and her Yellow Z cake was awesome.

Happy Birthday Zoe!!

Ry had lots of fun playing in the tub with her pail and beach ball she got as a party favor.  Oh, and the sunglasses she is so generously sharing, yup, she stole those from the party favor buckets.  Oh, Ryann.

"UH OH"

I can't believe my little girl is on month away from being a year old. It is amazing how fast time has passed. One of Ry's current favorite things to do is to drop something and say "uh oh". Of course, once the camera is rolling she does it a whole lot less. Here are a few recent clips trying to capture her saying it.
Yes, Kipu has very much learned to appreciate Ry's UhOh's from her high chair.
