We had a very busy Mother's Day Weekend this year. Saturday included swimming lessons, a wedding shower 50 minutes north of us, and a 40th Birthday party (sans Ry) 50 minutes south of us. Thinking back this may have been the longest we left Ryann on a weekend night yet.
Since Grammy and Grampy watched Ry at their house we opted to sleep there Saturday night, which resulted in a breakfast-in-bed-less Mother's Day Morning. (Although I have been assured had we been at our house we would have had breakfast in bed... so maybe next year. :o) ). Ry woke up around 7 so I took her downstairs to say goodbye to Grammy before she left for work. After I gave Ry her bottle Dan came downstairs and told me I could go back to sleep for a few hours. Those two extra hours of sleep were amazing.
Once I was up and dressed we headed out to visit Dan's parents where Ry got to see her cousins. We were eating late and Ry couldn't make it until lunch time so she enjoyed a picnic outside followed by a nice two hour nap.
After lunch we headed over to visit my parent's and Gram. As luck would have it, my Mom had just arrived home from work, and AK was heading out to get ice cream.
Around 5:00 we headed home to celebrate Mother's Day as a family. I arrived home to cards from Dan, Ry, and Kipu, gifts Ry made a school, and a spa gift certificate! The night ended with Ry's normal bedtime routine and her first night in 9-12mo jammies. My little girl is getting so big!
Ry, Girrlll that swimsuit is just fabulous! Lets get the Mommas together and go SHOPPING! Maybe we can do lunch, too and throw some food on the floor and like ladies do. Kisses, Z
